That is the most on-brand thing I’ve ever seen

It’s a masterwork. Some advertising genius was asked to encapsulate Joe Biden in a single phrase, and they thought hard about it, and distilled him down to two words.

It’s perfect! You see “malarkey”, and you think “antiquated, old-fogeyish” and it’s a natural to associate that with Biden. It’s going to go over well with timid old boomers.

In a particularly nice touch, in smaller print on the back of the bus, it includes a dictionary definition of “malarkey”. I guess that’s their idea of outreach to the young folks.

I’m slightly older than PZ, and do not recall the word “Malarkey” being used unsarcastically by anyone born in the 20th century. It may, I suppose, not have been as popular north of the border.

While every sentence including the word “boomer” is incorrect (including this one), I’d like to point out that Biden is not a boomer (not that PZ said he was) being born in 1942. Of the major democratic candidates, only Elizabeth Warren is a boomer. If you don’t elect her (or Bernie) could we have her? We’ll possibly need a new PM in a couple of years, and our PM need not be born in Canada.

If Biden really wants to connect with young voters he ought to learn the Charleston and take part in a gold fish swallowing contest. Twenty-Three Skiddo!

I just hope that Joe Biden finally does something about these hooligans playing hoop rolling in the streets. Its enough to give someone the vapors!

A bit hip though dated, unfortunately women objectifying (in retrospect) and well beyond Biden’s set.

At this point I would vote Biz because…wait for it…:

Remember Shatner on “One Hit Wonders” talking about some other Biz tune and I was like “What, I didn’t even like that one!” Fuckin’ Denny Crane! Biz had several. Nobody beats the Biz.

    Biz 2020.

I’m really hoping that Biden’s early poll numbers aren’t indicative of how this primary season is going to go and he runs out of steam quickly.
