This comic is making me uncomfortable

Well, I, for one, do have tenure, and am free to pursue my goal of building an army of multi-legged venomous monsters and taking over the planet from my secret lair in an exotic location that no one would ever dream could be the center of an empire.

Livin’ the dream! Bwahahahahahahahaha!

Now I just have to solve the minor problem that my experimental subjects are so tiny.

The tiny little organism behind the Spanish Flu turned out to be quite destructive and evil.

Size doesn’t matter, it’s what you do with it. :)

I realised the other day that octopuses have 8 limbs. Have you considered a spider/octopus cross that will supply size and an amphibious element to your hordes?

But really, the whole funding thing is just sad. That scientists have to rely on rich persons, corporations or other entities with dubious records to fund their research, even to the point of ass-kissing their benefactors and defending their terrible deeds. It’s bad enough that scientists are shilling for corporations who have histories of environmental degradation and warfare, it just as bad as those who’d defend billionaires with weird, creepy tendencies, ‘cos they’re quirky people who support science plus he’s a nice guy.
