A good take on Jordan Peterson’s rehab

I liked this angle on the story: going into rehab was the right thing for Peterson to do, and he is to be commended for reaching out for help. But it doesn’t change the fact that he’s one of those tedious self-help gurus, a conservative version of Oprah, who is always telling people that their attitude is the problem, that they should pull themselves up by their bootstraps, when there are systemic problems that require social cooperation to accomplish real change.

Unless Peterson comes out of rehab and recants his previous nonsensical dictates for how to fix all your problems by accepting the hierarchical nature of the noble and infallible lobster, he’ll just be another typical right-winger who basically embodies the fundamental attribution error and gleefully looks down on everyone else going through the same or worse traumas he’s gone through but without the resources to get the help they need like he did. I’m not going to hold my breath on this one.

May I say how annoyed I am at that stupid phrase, “pull yourself up by your own bootstraps”? It was first invented as_a_joke. So I get it, it’s a shibboleth whose very absurdity is a test of loyalty for the insiders, and a insult to the intelligence of all others. I get that; but it still annoys me that the act recommended is in fact physically_impossible. There’s this thing called Newton’s Third Law.

If the bootstrap-recommenders say that we should do something physically impossible, then I say they should lead by example. They should show us how by publicly doing something physically impossible, themselves.

And I am just as annoyed by “turn back the clock”. That too is physically impossible, due to the Second Law of Thermodynamics. Once the big hand passes 12:01, then the only way back to noon is through evening, midnight, and morning.

Can anyone reading this think of a third physical impossibility that rich reactionaries have repeatedly told the world to do?

Well Rush Limbaugh sure changed his tune after rehab. Hahahaha no. I mean, I don’t even put Peterson in the same category, mostly because his influence is significantly less, but I would not bet on any change. He’ll figure out how to spin it, and how it only proves whatever it was he said in the first place.

So, basically, he could not cope with stuff and so became a druggie, now he’s all needy.

    Heh.

As for the idea of self-help: if you rely on someone’s else’s advice, then it’s obviously not self-help, is it? What a misnomer.

I followed Petersen with interest for about a year. After a while I saw through his schtick. It has become obvious he is a Globalist and is doing everything he can to thwart nationalism in the West. He is terrified Caucasians will eventally organize. It appears it is his goal to prevent this.

It is apparent he is anti-Caucasian. His supposed anti-identity politics congeals around being anti-white.
