They’re all out to get you

The latest bonkers conspiracy theory: the Leftists have jiggered Google to put a photo of Jordan Peterson at the top of their search rankings. It’s a photo of … Peterson smiling. It’s completely undermining his reputation for sober seriousness.

OK, it does make him look kind of goofy. But not less goofy than the words coming out of his mouth!

But seriously, how delusional must you be if you think this is some kind of evil plot? And do they even realize that talking about it moves it up in the search rankings?

(Note: I do realize that this is my second post this morning that could induce nausea. I’ll stop now.)

Anyone who’s spoken on video can be made to look dorky in cherry-picked screen shots. That photo almost looks like he’s deliberately posing with a goofy face. Maybe he sometimes does that (like the aging human dad he is), and his more cultish followers think it ruins what is perceived as his oracular public image.

    Nothing unsavory like that.

I mean just to fulfill his natural evolutionary role as a nurturing parent. His smile is a biological signal letting women know he is producing healthy sperm and is ready for procreation.

    Jordan Peterson who???
The guy has really faded and quite rapidly.
As soon as people started reading his large paper and video trail, he was finished.

He is just another alt-right hate merchant, competing with people like Alex Jones, Rush Limbaugh, and Ann Coulter for right wingnut dollars.
And just how much is it worth to listen to some conman tell everyone that girls are icky?
You can get that for free from a lot of grade school boys.

Just last night, I watched a video on YouTube of somebody playing Fallout 4 with various mods installed, including one which caused facial animations to be exaggerated. That photo looks like one of the milder effects. That, or one of the NPCs from We Happy Few.

Well, if you’re finding your children unsavory, you’re not cooking them right. Have you tried Sous-vide?

Kidding aside, I doubt it would work. The man is so boring and remote that flaying his lips off his skull couldn’t produce a convincing smile.

For Peterson? When last I heard he rakes in $80,000 per month from donors.

    I hate capitalism.

Conspiracy to make him look bad? Au contraire. I’d say he’s been making a concerted effort to show more “range” and be more “normal” instead of being a stern scold. Someone told him he’s got some pull but most people think he’s batty. He’s got vague political ambitions let’s not forget.

Quotation from the article cited at #12:

By combining knowledge of the past with a full-hearted optimism and a generous attitude toward his readers and listeners, Peterson generates an impressive level of intellectual firepower.

Good lord; and to think I used to admire Bob Fulford. Well, that’s all over now.

I was amused and saddened, simultaneously, by a man on Twitter proudly boasting about buying tickets to see JP speak in more than one city because “nobody tells me what to think.” Uhhh, friend… isn’t that EXACTLY what Peterson is doing? And what you’re paying $60 to hear?

So they’re constantly telling women to smile but they’re upset when their current guru does it. What do they think – that it makes him look female and therefore sub human and sub intelligent?
