Yep, they’re Nazis. No more waffling about it.

I’ve been told I’m a member of gang of nihilists whose life’s mission is to undermine all of western civilization, so I’m totally unsurprised by the latest rhetoric from the neo-Nazis at Fox News.

You think any of these people care about family separation? If they did, they’d be upset about the collapse of the American family, which is measurable and real. They’re not. They welcome that collapse, because strong families are an impediment to their political power.

Name a few lefties who hate families, OK? All that stupid labeling that we heard when the war in Iraq was being justified because they “hate freedom” is now spilling over into their characterization of their political opponents here in the US. They’re tearing children from their parents’ arms, and telling us that we just hate families.

Kinder, Küche, Kirche! Volksaufklärung und Propaganda!

Of all the Orwellian terms tossed around in US politics, “pro-family” may be the most cynical. You can pretty much guarantee that anyone who calls themselves that is against universal health care, universal daycare, more funding for public transportation, affordable housing, a living wage, any sort of welfare, mandated sick leave, adequate funding for public education…. In short, any policy that would actually ease the burden on poor and working class families.

I see only more dark days ahead with no way any of this will change without some nasty upheaval and no sure way through it to a more humane and equitable outcome. great danger here and world wide there are many bad actors more than willing to take advantage of the coming chaos
it just feels like we are very close to a tipping point and as you can see it is making me very pessimistic heading toward depression.

Riiiight. And the states where people thing Tucker Carlson is just the ginchiest are those with the highest divorce rates, the highest teen pregnancy rates, the lowest graduation rates, the most broken household and domestic abuse, the highest infant mortality, the lowest life expectancy, the lowest wages, the most obesity, and pretty much rock bottom on all the other standards of quality-of-life.

Families are much more cohesive and children much better off in liberal areas, and that’s cold hard statistical fact. Also, in places like Massachusetts and Minnesota and Hawaii with stricter gun control, a higher percentage of kids make it to adulthood. Which strikes me as being a family value, your kids outliving you.

But maybe teen pregnancy and wifebeating and divorce and malnutrition and dropping out and working for slave wages and forced into permanent debt indenture and being a meth monkey living in Mom’s basement until age 45 are the new ideals of Christianity, now that Trump has redefined the religion for 24.7 percent of the population.

The logic is just excruciatingly bad, that liberalism and its fruits — healthcare, education, decent roads, affordable housing, vacation and weekends, pensions, equal treatment before the courts, relief against corporate predation, job safety, a clean environment, etc. — are somehow bad for families.

    There are more.
    1. Pro-Life. The Pro-Lifers are anything but Pro Life.
They are really forced birthers and female slavers.
These are the same people who want to take affordable health care and food stamps away from children.

    2. Fiscally Conservative.
The GOP is only fiscally conservative when the Democratic party is in power.
The two presidents who added the most to the National Debt were Reagan and Bush.
Hoover had the Great Depression and Bush had the Great Recession.
Trump is going to do the same with his tax cuts while increasing spending.

The current GOP is neither pro-family, pro-life, nor fiscally conservative, they just claim to be.

Well, I just saw something I have never seen before. Rachel Maddow broke down and was unable to continue reading a breaking news report about three detention/internment facilities for infants.

Maybe I could say I just saw two things I have never seen before.

On another thread, someone else said there are times he wished there was a Hell. There are times I wished I believed in Hell, not that Hell existed but that I believed in it. I would *really* like to say disingenuous slime like Tucker Carlson will burn in Hell, and have it interpretted not as hyperbole but as a literal and sincere belief, if there were any judgement and outcome for behavior I do sincerely believe Tucker Carlson would rate and deserve to be judged as worm-food fire fodder.

But I don’t believe in Hell. I don’t even believe in being emotional. So instead of telling Tucker Carlson to suck my ass and burn in hell, I say dispassionate things about how the republican view of the “collapse of the family” is not objective and has a faulty bias and there are two views of things and …

Screw it. Suck my ass and burn in hell, Tucker Carlson, you deserve it.

Carlson is a piece of shit. Whatever democratic policies he thinks are hurting families in some abstract, indirect economic sense, they’re nothing compared to maliciously separating children from their parents and keeping them in internment facilities. Bringing up diversions about “the collapse of the American family” is just another case of whataboutism used to distract from the issue at hand.

the collapse of the American family

What collapse, and what family, exactly?
I assume PZ and his family, for example, are quite fine. At least they show no signs of collapse.
A single black mother may be less fine, but Carlson is just one of the people intending to keep it that way. Or make it worse.

Oh wait, silly me, of course a single black mother and her children do not count as “family”.
    Fuck Carlson.
