Obviously he needs to quit TV so he can devote more time to having books ghostwritten for him. Watch for Killing My Career to be released in 2018.

Damn, I’m going to miss not seeing or hearing him for two weeks. Actually, no I want miss it at all. I don’t miss not seeing or hearing him every day.

Perhaps he’ll be like Charlie on the MTA and never return. We can hope. We can dream.

He just needs to spend some more time with his family.

I feel a small frisson of sympathy for the suffering of his family.

Conservative volunteer in my office told me, this morning, that it was all those liberal groups that drove him off the air.

I looked at him and said that companies don’t want to be associated with him so they took their advertising dollars elsewhere.

He said that they were stifling his freedom of speech.

I explained (again!) that freedom of speech was a government thing and then pointed out that the companies were exercising their rights of freedom of speech. I told him it is capitalism in action. What does he have against capitalism?

No, he still doesn’t get it.

    re @1:
[piling on] I’m sure he has Priority Class Frequent Flyer Status in the United First Class Club, so when he wants to fly on an overbooked flight, they will drag someone off the plane to give BillO a seat.

one thing the rise of 45 has done, is gotten us to open our eyes and see the atrocities the “elite” have been inflicting on ~people.
Once seemed like the “concept” of capitalism was a good idea, we seemed to have missed the possibility of some becoming obsessed with the idea and trampling everyone else in order to inflate their personal bank account. Before I tangent, the ubiquity of media stories of beatings and shootings and atrocities, right here, and not in a foreign nation, is due to the rise of 45 as the epitome of disgusting behavior, the media is trying to dilute with reports of so may other incidents. Which is both good and bad to have so many stories flooding the news. Good to be made aware of events; bad to be diluting the worst perpetrator.

I’m imagining that Fox “News” simply overbooked the slot. They had to call three enforcers from the advertising sales team to bodily drag him out while around him shouted at them for violating his First Amendment rights.

Matt, Bill doesn’t have to do that personally. I mean, he can if he likes, but Fox has recruiters for that.

Maybe O’Reilly will get Steve Bannon’s office, and Bannon will get a primetime slot on False Noise.

    Win-win (except for the USA)!
