    They are so pretty. It’s always nice to see the sunflower fields, they look endless and wonderfully bright. I always have to do my yearly stop and wander at least one field, taking photos.

    I guess inspired by Groot, (the talking tree, from Gaurdians of the Galaxy), and Treebeard from LOTR. It’s fun to think we are sunflowers that can think while standing effortlessly in the sunshine.

    Interesting sunflower research highlighted at the NPR site. After I watched the AAAS video, I keep checking to see what direction sunflowers are facing whenever I happen to pass them.
