He’s making YouTube videos! Lots and lots of YouTube videos, several per day, it appears. If you’re concerned about the volume — how will we ever keep up? — don’t be. It’s all exactly the same old tired Young Earth apologetics and Bible babble that he’s always done.
His latest topic is WOE: What On Earth is about to happen? He expects Jesus to return in 10-15 years. Right.
Ten to fifteen years? I thought according to other “reliable” sources that all that was happening in September of this year!
His sign is wrong. It shouldn’t be nothing vs. god, it should state god is nothing.
Jebus returning? Yeah, sure hey.
Jesus is coming back? This is the first time I have heard this claim. Why didn’t anyone warn us?
I guess their M. O. is to predict it for every year until it happens. They have to be right at some point, right? Just because it didn’t happen for 2000 years doesn’t mean it won’t happen, right? Right?! Just keep throwing those numbers out there.

While it isn’t exactly clear from contradictory sources, from what I understand the historical Jesus may have had a wife. If so, then I’d assume he came more than once during his life time, so his second and however many other comings already happened.

I am surprised by the number of positive comments for “Dr” (of a mail order school) Hovind on youtube: either old DVDs from his ministries or interviews from prison. Especially charming are some posts from a year or so ago in which he “debates” actual scientists or professors from paraphrases with his supporters. Is it really necessary to engage the idiocy? I would like to think no…that people who aren’t involved in the sciences would actually listen to scientists (instead of politicians or any creationist). But apparently there are a substantial portion of Americans who are not just creationists, but YOUNG EARTH CREATIONISTS as well!! How many times can sane people try to explain observational science and that evolution is not the same thing as cosmology, geology, astrophysics, etc. The Kent/Eric Hovind talking points begins with “hey, we like science”…but then go on and redefine all scientific terms (to apparently fit their myopic view of the bible). That anyone thinks a collection of gospels can be a better factual source then observational science is more a reflection of themselves! Rational people can only keep going on about how the sciences can easily date the Earth well beyond 6,000 years, that examples of irreducible complexity still have alternative functions, that humans are in the primate family, and that humans did not interact with dinosaurs. The video of Richard Dawkins interviewing Wendy Wright pretty much sums up this debate: no matter how much facts and reason you interject: the “believers” are still going to totally ignore and keep asking “where’s the missing link”? Even though there are wonderful examples of missing links all through the phylum, it’s lost with the creationists. I suppose it’s all our duties to interject some reason, but don’t get too frustrated if it goes unnoticed .
