I know where I’ll be in early August

St Louis, at the Gateway to Reason conference. You can go too, 31 July to 2 August, and it’s cheap! $25!

It’s got a contingent of FtB people, as all good conferences do: Aron Ra, Matt Dillahunty, Russell Glasser, and me. It’s got Dan Barker, Teresa MacBain, Nathan Phelps, Vyckie Garrison, and David Fitzgerald. And more!

Tickets are on sale right now.

I’m surprised Missouri let you hold it there considering all the religious nut cases they have.

    DAMMIT.
That’s where my family lives. Any other year, I’d probably be there then.
    Except this year.
    DAMMIT.

Awesome! Now I know where I’ll be on those days too. That’s my backyard. Can’t wait to shake your hand if I run into you, Mr. Myers.

Like carlie, I have family in the St. Louis area. I wish I could be there for this. The list of speakers looks fantastic.

    Woohoo!!

Not only do I have (atheist!) family living in STL — I live in STL as well!

I’ll be bringing my spouse, 4-yr old offspring, both in-lawed parents, and both in-lawed brothers as they too are of the free-thinky non-theisticity hive-mind-set!

    But… uh… Fenton?! Really G2R? — The Strafford Inn??

Not to judge too harshly, but I wouldn’t really call Fenton a part of St. Louis. Maybe if STL being in MO is analogous to Austin being in TX, then Fenton’s in TX.

Sorry PZ, I know it’s not you doing the organizing. The STL has some fantastic culture in pockets of the city like the Hill, MoBot and Shaw Park area, the Central West End, the Delmar Loop, South Grand areas, the Landing.

But…uh … Fenton? I mean, like, the Krispy Kreme is nice and all. And there’s a White Castle right there… So uh it’s got that going for it… which is nice.
