That is an interesting perspective from Revere. The idea that the current upsurge in freethought and it’s public advocates could indicate the end of a religious revival is quite encouraging.
I’m tempted to say “WE WON! We can all stop flaming each other over this now!”

My most recent religious activity was to rewrite the Bible! Well, just one small part of it. (Hey, it’s not like I’m the first!)
I made a definite improvement (he said modestly).
That was a more believable account. I liked it. You should write one about the virgin birth.
For anyone who’s interested Chris Hitchens played the lone atheist on this morning’s Religion panel at the LA Book Festival. If you can get past his unerring Iraq War stumping, it is a good showing on his part, and he gets in about as many salient questions and points one could hope for in such a venue. I think the audience was friendly to the ideas, as his religious counterparts spent more time foot-shuffling and trying to answer his questions than making many of their own points.
Oh I forgot to mention the replays will be on CSPAN probably several times this coming week.
