Whoa…now this is a phenomenal tool. iSpecies is a simple, minimalist page ala Google, with a single text entry box. Type in any taxon name, hit enter, and it comes back at you with genomics data, images, and documents on the organism(s). It’s a species search engine!

As to the actually subject.. Definitly interesting. Though, I am not sure what a “mouse bikini” has to do with the term mouse. suppose it could be worse though, and generate an image from the fury porn Shayla the Pink Mouse. lol
I think I like the iSpecies. Now I just need to learn more taxa so I can play with it.

I was curious what iSpecies would come up with if I entered sativa. Just then she appeared like a vision on the screen, a fine example of the species, looking for “anyone for anything”, and currently in an open/swinger relationship.
The Indonesian mimic octopus page throws up some nice pictures, but the other stuff seems unrelated – a book on culture in non-human primates for example. What’s the animal’s proper name?

Wait… google is from a funny phyla to place here. Perhaps it is added as some sort of webliving species – maybe they are testing and improving cladistics on new fields. :-)
