Agent Orange Bombs Syria

I literally don’t even know how to title this. I’m so fucking mad…

U.S. Launches Missiles at Syrian Base Over Chemical Weapons Attack

The United States fired 59 Tomahawk cruise missiles at Syria overnight in response to what it believes was a chemical weapons attack that killed more than 100 people.

At least six people were killed, Syria claimed, but the Pentagon said civilians were not targeted and the strike was aimed at a military airfield in Homs.

All but one of the missiles hit their intended target, one U.S. military official told NBC News. The other missile failed.

The strike completed a policy reversal for President Donald Trump — who once warned America to stay out of the conflict — and drew angry responses from Damascus and its main ally, Russia.

I understand that what Assad is doing to his own people is disgusting. He really needs to face severe consequences for his actions.

But we, the United States, need to stop playing world police! Russia is now pissed at us

  • Russia, a Syria ally that has been helping the Assad regime target rebel-held districts, condemned the US action. Vladimir Putin’s spokesman, Dmitry Peskov, said the president regarded the strikes as “aggression against a sovereign state in violation of international law, and under a false pretext”.
  • Peskov said Trump’s move would have consequences for relations between the two countries. “With this step Washington has struck a significant blow to Russian-American relations, which were already in a sorry state.”
  • A Russian defence ministry statement read on state television said the US attack had been “ineffective” and claimed Syrian authorities were looking for 36 Tomahawk missiles that fell outside the base and missed the target. The statement also confirmed Russia would stop cooperation and communication with US forces in Syria.
  • Shortly thereafter, the Russian military said it would help Syria strengthen its air defences after the strike to help “protect the most sensitive Syrian infrastructure facilities”. In a post on Facebook, the Russian prime minister, Dmitry Medvedev, wrote about “completely ruined relations” between Russia and the US, saying the US strike was “good news for terrorists”.

And don’t get me wrong… fuck Putin. However… if you think they don’t have a good fucking point, then you are incredibly ignorant of history.

Remember that last rebel groups we “decided” to help out? Let me remind you. Rebels groups we’ve decided to ally with have included the Taliban, Al Quaeda, and, yes, ISIS. That is what happens when we “help” rebel groups. And our continual failure to learn from history will cause that to happen again. Make no mistake… we are creating the next “terrorist” group that will attack us after they get into power.

But it’s worse than that, because…

At least nine innocent civilians were killed, four of whom were children

US missile strikes on a Syrian air base have reportedly killed nine civilians – including four children – as Donald Trump launched the first direct American attack on Bashar Assad’s regime.

Britain has described the overnight assault as an “appropriate response” to this week’s “barbaric” chemical attack in Syria, while Russia warned the act of “aggression” will damage its relations with America.

Four children are reported to be among nine civilians killed in the “targeted assault” on the air base, from where Mr Trump said a devastating nerve agent strike was launched earlier this week. Six servicemen – none of them Russian – are believed to have also been killed.

As for what all this means… well… it’s entirely possible that Russia could officially declare war on us.

Russian President Vladimir Putin has condemned American air strikes on Syria in response to an apparent chemical attack.

Putin described President Donald Trump’s decision as an act of “aggression against a sovereign state” and suspended an agreement with the US to avoid hostile incidents in the skies above its Syrian ally.

The sudden escalation between the two nuclear-armed powers catapulted tensions to the highest level since Donald Trump took office in January.

The Kremlin said the US action will cause “considerable damage” to ties between Moscow and Washington. The U.S. said it had worked to minimize the risk of causing Russian casualties in the attack, which killed at least six Syrian servicemen.

Russia suspended a cooperation pact with the US aimed at avoiding incidents between the two countries’ planes in the crowded airspace over Syria by establishing direct hotlines between their militaries.

“This is very risky,” Andrei Kortunov, head of the Russian International Affairs Council, said.

“This agreement helped to avoid direct military confrontation in this difficult situation. We don’t want to start World War III.”

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said he hoped that what he described as “provocations” wouldn’t lead to “irreversible results”. Drawing a parallel to the 2003 US invasion of Iraq, he accused the US and its allies of seeking to sabotage Russian efforts to secure a peace deal in Syria and achieve regime change by the use of force in televised comments from Tashkent.

I will say… it’s rather interesting how all this is turning out, considering how Russia allegedly helped sway the election in Agent Orange’s favor. Though I’m starting to wonder if that was the…

No… let me not go down that road. Down that road lies New World Orders, Illuminati, and fake moon landings.

But this is fucking terrifying, frankly, and I’m not sure what to do with it right now.

Oh! And let me just add that, apparently, Agent Orange decided not to listen to Donald Trump:

Who the hell does he think he is?

Bombing Syria is a terrifying atrocity unless a Democrat does it, in which case it’s “pragmatism” and “foreign policy” which, though a bit hawkish for my taste, is certainly well within the realm of acceptability and not the sort of thing that would convince me not to vote for the person who did it.
