Pretty much what the title says: abstracts for the Astrobiology Science Conference (AbSciCon 2017) are due Wednesday, January 18th by 5:00 p.m. Central Time. The meeting is in Mesa, Arizona April 24–28, which should be pretty nice.

This is a great meeting with a huge diversity of topics, including SETI, solar system exploration, exoplanet detection and habitability, origin of life, evolution, pedagogy, and new technologies. This will be my third AbSciCon, and I blogged about the 2015 meeting here, here, here, and here. It’s also a fairly inexpensive meeting; my registration was $345 in 2015, and there are travel grants available for students.
