Trump the narcissist, craving his drug of the adulation of the crowd, headed off for Melbourne, Florida for a rally. Not surprisingly, the rally was kicked off with a prayer – “The Lord’s Prayer” in fact. Three strange things here. One, I get the giving of a prayer though there is a major red flag for me at this treating of a political rally as a religious event, and I wonder if this is now typical of Republican political rallies and events. Two, was that it was not Donald Trump praying, but Melania. Three, The Lord’s Prayer? Really? This seems oddly off key for the event which was to follow.

Damn Right Trump’s Election is Illegitimate

I am getting damned tired of people asking the question of whether Trump’s election is illegitimate. And I am even tireder of people (largely Democrats and media) responding that the Electoral College voted and he was officially elected. Forget the fact that the Electoral College would not even discuss what was happening in terms of interference with the election. I am tired of being told that there is no evidence that the Russians mickied the voting machines.

Given the explosive nature of the discussion of foreign (mainly Russian) interference in the 2016 election, and the actions of the Trump team vis a vis Russia, other important Trump news has disappeared off the grid. One of those items presents both economic and ethical problems. This is unseemly interaction by Trump and company with the business community. There are two primary ways this intervention is happening. One is through his use of tweets, and the other is his meetings with CEOs.
