Can We Arrest the Congress for Robbery and Attempted Murder?

My life is on the line as are the lives of millions of others. My continued existence depends upon access to an expensive mix of medications and medical care for I live with a double-lung transplant. My yearly out-of pocket expenses are already over $20,000 a year. With the “improvements” proffered by Trump and the Republicans, that amount will at least quintuple – just for the insurance, and forget about deductibles and co-pays. Without a medical “lifeline” I will die. I suspect that most of us will have someone we know or love who will lose their lives.

Trump Starts Run, and So Many Troublesome Issues

The Trump Presidency has started, and the ‘troublesome issues’ are multiplying rather than decreasing. Beginning with who had seats on the dais (at least seven Trump donor billionaires)1 and then attended the Capitol luncheon thereafter. Add in an inauguration speech that was almost as divisive as his campaign speeches, and clearly aimed at his base. He then goes to the Liberty Ball and calls his critics “enemies”.

Law Suits to Silence Others

Now President Trump threatened to file suit against the women who came forward with allegations of sexual harassment and abuse committed by him. Of course, now-President Trump is not the only person to do that. These types of suits are referred to as SLAPP suits. That means a Strategic Lawsuit Against Public Participation. It ” is a lawsuit that is intended to censor, intimidate, and silence critics by burdening them with the cost of a legal defense until they abandon their criticism or opposition. Such lawsuits have been made illegal in many jurisdictions on the grounds that they impede freedom of speech.” (Wikipedia)
