   My family. My entire family (except me – I’m the black sheep). I was brought up that way. My whole being fought against it until I finally had to move my own direction without my family.

   Of all the animals on Earth I wonder if any would miss us, other than the dogs.The cats would be annoyed and inconvenienced but that’s not the same thing.

   I don’t get the point of your post. I (and Ophelia) were not mocking Indian women or India itself, we were mocking this group’s attitude towards the women of India.
