I posted this on my FB page yesterday too. I didn’t even know that it was Super Bowl Sunday until I went to book a table at a local, popular restaurant. I thought we’d never get in but the hostess said it was quiet because they don’t have TVs and it’s the Super Bowl. That’s the best part of it. It is very easy to get a table at a nice restaurant.
The only thing I heard about the Stupor Bowl was the brawl, and even that doesn’t attract my interest. I didn’t hear about anything else, and don’t give a hoot about it.
Every time I’m tempted to go back to watching football (cold turkey for the past three seasons), another story comes along to remind me why I shouldn’t start watching again.
They do. The only winners in pro football are the leagues and the team owners.
