I didn’t know dogs were that discriminating. This is the “I like cheese all your food” stare. My cats have mastered it too.

Food. There is food present which I cannot get at. I will make sad-puppydog-eyes at the food-haver until food is given to me.

My cats have mastered it too.

My cat isn’t nearly so subtle. He hops on my desk (it’s L-shaped), puts his paws on my shoulder and leans over to sniff every morsel before it goes in my mouth. Sometimes he’s even actually interested in eating some (usually beef jerky).

My cat always thinks she wants nori (seaweed) until I actually offer it to her.
    Does she think its fish?

My senior crankypants foster cat obsesses over peanut butter. She will get on the table and try to eat the sandwiches out of my kids’ hands. One of our family cats is morbidly obese, unlike the other 2, because she loves fats: oils, butter, nut butters, avocados, etc. She sneaks onto the counters and tables to get at any unattended items.

My BFF has an adult daughter (also a friend). Said daughter has a dog. Said daughter also has a baby rapidly approaching toddler stage. A bit ago the duaghter with dog and baby was having supper at her mum’s house. When they were finished there was one slightly dry slice of cheese left and so they decided the dog could have it.
Now, the dog NEVER gets food at the table, so my friend got up to walk over to the kitchen counter, the dog followed, sat down and looked at her like this. The baby also followed, sat next to the dog and looked like this, too.
    They shared the cheese…

    “I also enjoy cheese”

And being the kind of person you are I just thought you would like to know that. But it’s ok if you choose not to share, I will still love you with all my heart.

  8. Claire Ramsey says

I also love cheese. And carrots. And dog biscuits. And graham crackers. And peanut butter. And oatmeal. And lettuce. And baked potatoes. And tamales. And cat food. And whatever you’re having.

    Very Truly Yours Forever,

    Colibrita and Miska
