Why is Seattle so far away?
It depends where you’re located, but the answer is probably plate tectonics.
Unable to attend, even though I will literally be in walking distance. Sigh.
The rest of the country is shunning us. Between the Discovery Institute, Microsoft, and Starbucks, we’ve got a lot to answer for.

Totally late to the post, but you were awesome! FWIW I was the guy who had to get up in the middle of your talk to let someone get out and then ended up doing the Chevy Chase into the Blue Star proper. It’s okay; I have no dignity anyway! Anyway, your talk was great, even though we didn’t keep quiet in the middle of it like you asked.
