    Indeed.

I got curious on who’s Julie Manet (1878 -- 1966)? This is what I found: It seems she was an artist/writer herself, the niece of the famous Édouard Manet, daughter of painters Eugène Manet and Berthe Morisot. Her dad died when she was 14 and her mom when she was 16 (both were in their fifties when they died) and the poet Stéphane Mallarmé became her guardian (he died when she was 20).

So her parents were fairly old, almost like parents nowadays in western countries. She was a model for many artists including her mother, uncle, Renoir, Degas and Monet. Her teenage diaries have been a source of information on the French Impressionists.

In this picture Julie Manet must have been 8 or 9 and the kitten, a few months?. I wonder if it could be said that both were relatively speaking equally young.
