    Awesome cover. Spectacular and striking.

    Mount Pelee I presume circa 1902? (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mount_Pel%C3%A9e )

Wonder who the “prophet” referred to in the title was? Can’t seem to find much on the author or this book with my google-fu largely failing me. (This aside : https://www.abebooks.com/servlet/BookDetailsPL?bi=808912371&searchurl=an%3Dwhitaker%2Blydia%26sortby%3D17&cm_sp=snippet-_-srp1-_-title3 which isn’t overly informative.)

That is a lot of lava in the ocean there tho’.. almost say a (crescent even!) lunar sea of it!
