Wow. I am wowed. This has wowed me. I’m especially wowed by the crystal coffin and the disappearing cow. Portraying transparency with pen and ink seems like such a challenge.
I remember these illustrations! I think I had the book but with a different cover -- they are truly stunning. My favourite too is the glass coffin, but for some reason the illustration from the Caliph Stork really brought back the memories.
I’m glad you both enjoyed this book. The crystal coffin is probably my favourite drawing, too, but I think the entire book is fabulous.
