The Stinking Beauty


Our Amorphophallus decided to blossom this year. A beautiful flower, the blossom itself is about 40 cm tall and it is difficult to get it into a picture.

And it had to be confined to a closed room, because it stinks of rotting flesh.

Yay.

    It’s an impressive blossom! I think I know what you mean about the stink, we have a Dracunculus vulgaris and I suppose it should smell more or less the same. Ours is outdoors and attracts an incredible amount of flies.
