Memories of Snow 1

With Winter nearing its end, at least here, it’s time to look back at the snow that we had.

It wouldn’t be me without reflections, right?

Oh, and did you know, there’s going to be Frozen 2

I can’t decide which photo I like most, the reflection is gorgeous, but so are the berries, and then there’s the seed head … thank you for sharing them.

According to Finnish news reports I saw earlier, the second Frozen may involve more Sami cultural aesthetic than the first one. The film crew has visited Sami cultural centers in North Finland (and presumably also Norway and Sweden) to educate themselves.

If so, this would be a major double-edged deal for the Sami as indigenous people.

Oh wow, that would be awesome, if they did a better job with that! The trailer has me very intrigued, and I am encouraged by the lack of a romantic story-line for Elsa (an obvious one, at least).

Giliell, your photos are wonderful, and I think my favourite has to be the last. As harsh and uncompromising as winter can be, it is certainly beautiful.

Winter can be beautiful and those are all lovely photos, but I love water and the third photo really speaks to me.
(As beautiful as winter is, I think I’m ready for some spring photos!)

The first one looks eerie. I see the grasses as locks of hair and an empty face. It’s a wonderful picture like these all are. The rowan(?) berries are pop out with the colour. Also, a waxwing will get a few alcohol-laden snacks (which they metabolize better than we do) from those.
