The places are the same as in summer. The light and the atmosphere not so.

As Harakka had a long-time military presence, there are fortifications. Fireweed is no longer in bloom as it was in the summer.

The casemates were used for storing ammo.

Next time we shall see pictures from the second autumnal visit to Harakka, which I did the next day, Sunday.

The light and atmosphere are wonderful in all photos, but I am in love with the second one. It’s such a peaceful image, I feel better and more relaxed just looking at it. Thanks, Ice Swimmer, I needed this today.

    Nightjar @ 1

The picture is taken in your direction, approximately.

The slight fog did a lot of good to the photos.

    Thank you!

Beautiful colours! The autumn fog only adds to the atmosphere.
The second photo stands out because of the expectant bench (also love the colour of the wood), and I like the mystery of the closed door in the last photo.

  4. Ice Swimmer says

    Thank you, rq!

In the summer, if some of the artists keeps an exhibition there, one might get a look inside, though of course publishing photos could be iffy then.
