Jack’s Walk

What you can’t see in this peaceful photograph are the dozens of geese that were honking and charging us from behind. Jack’s never gone up against a goose so he’s fearless around them, but I’ve been bitten by geese and it hurts. They’re also fairly strong, so they make me a bit nervous. I’ve never had trouble with them at this park, though, especially in the fall when they’re not protecting nests or babies. Whatever the cause I decided not to linger and we skedaddled over to the concrete skate park.

Wow, the grass/reeds makes Jack look small.

I’m also always careful with geese, though the ones migrating now (barnacle geese from the Arctic ocean coasts) seem to be just interested in grass, pooping and flying in large gaggles.

Geese are related to carnivorous dinosaurs. Period. That’s all I need to know to judge them from a very great distance.
Jack does look tiny beside those grasses, but he also looks like he just don’t give a fuck about those geese. :D I hope he didn’t take any convincing to skedaddle!
