In early summer we shovelled about 1.200 kg of pebbles into the gap between the front yard and the house.

One of the secrets is to wash them and make them wet or you’ll suffocate, and also, wet pebbles are just too pretty. I proudly announce that I did not put any of them into my mouth.

    Get in my pockets.
I cannot go anywhere without picking up pretty stones and pebbles. I’m pretty sure I’d be entertained by your pebbles for far too long to be acceptable.

They are pretty for sure. I too am afflicted by the pebblepickosis and it did not subside with age. Never felt the urge to put one in my mouth, but I feel it now.

I did not know about the wetting the stones before shoveling them. I will have to try that next time I have to do it.

What amazing pebbles and I too would have somehow mysteriously gotten some in my pockets. As if I did not already have enough rocks in my house. I just find them irresistible! Well done on not putting any in your mouth, actually, rock people will do that, either lick the rock or wipe a little spit on it because it does so enhance the beauty. Very smart to wet them down first!

I’m another with pebblitis, and nearly always bring some back from any beach we visit. Although I do have to compete with Jake who can get absurdly excited by rocks, dumb dog. I like the one that looks like a good piece of Roquefort in the fourth picture best of all of those.

I love the light in these photos.

I pick pebbles too, but I’m even worse with seashells. Can’t help myself.
