Barcelona: The Aquarium 1

One of the many tourist attractions and one the kids insist on visiting every time is the Aquarium. It has a lot of thematic basins, but of course the main attraction is big shark tank with the glass tunnel. Seriously, how anybody can think of sharks as monsters after seeing them will be eternally lost on me.

Pictures are a bit on the poor side, because the light is always low and a good camera needs good light.

These are great, it’s hard to shoot in those conditions. I love aquariums… one of my favorite places to go. I was trying to figure out what kind of shark it is but don’t have the skills to do it, I guess. Beautiful no matter what kind, they are such graceful animals.

Perhaps not monsters but some are very dangerous. A friend of mine from Sydney Australia would not go swimming in Lake Ontario because there was no shark patrol. As he said, he “knew” there were no sharks but given that big expanse of water he was not going in.

    They are some lovely photos.

I love the way you’ve caught the rays of light in the first photo, along with the way the shark is mosty darker than the other fish, it gives the shark a suitable air of mystery.
