Jack’s Walk

The sunny skies in this photo didn’t last long. Rain clouds have moved in and it’s drizzling which is double good news. The first good news is that the growing things are finally getting a much-needed drink and the second good news is that the temperatures are staying in the mid-twenties.

Yay for drizzle! We had rain on Thursday, then last night it really tipped it down so every thing has had a much needed thorough soaking. The gentle rain meant the dwonpour didn’t drain straight away off the hard dry cracked soil surface, but has been absorbed by the soil. And it’s cooler here too.

Mid-twenties is the best, as long as it’s not humid. Glad for your rain, we’ve had a spate of thunder showers but no break in the current heatwave. A good harvest is still in doubt, seeing as the drought of the first half of summer could give way to excessive flooding, we’ll see.

Nice to hear you got rain. Mid-twenties is a bit hot for me, maybe it’s the humidity here.

I love the reflections. The grass is clearly waiting for the rains.
