Echinacea always look so very sharp and pointy. And such lovely colour combinations. ♥

One of my long time faves. They are a truly grand subject when it comes to photos. I’m so bummed I couldn’t do any planting or gardening this year.

Thank you! And thank you for all the stuff you sent too!

I really like the second to last shot. It’s a wonderful perspective. The light in all the photos is beautiful.

Thank you, Voyager! I wasn’t sure that was going to come out, given how it melds into the background, but I was pleased with it.

Lovely now and they’ll make good seedheads too I guess? I love seed heads of all sorts, although I’d rather the dogs didn’t manage to find burdock burrs with their fur.

I just love the smaller one in the second shot. Those three little petals are really cute.

Jazzlet, I’m with you on burrs. Around here, licorice is the absolute worst. Next to that, burdock is nothing. We’ve spent ages pulling licorice burrs off the dogs, and two weeks later, you’re still picking them off. They get all over us, too.

Nightjar, thank you! There’s so much to love about echinacea, they are so expressive.

The wild flowers are starting to open up. We have Echinacea to spare.

    Punk rock chic.

Echinacea are sometimes called auringonhattu (sun’s hat) in Finnish and the awfully bitter stuff that didn’t cure cold was/is called auringonhattu-uute (uute = extract).
