Beautiful. I love that deep pink bud, wonderful how they go from that to white.

Thank you. :) They have delicate colouring, a lot of the blossoms have streaks of the palest pink, and they are so pretty. I sometimes wish the tree would just stay in blossom for a long time. The flowers have a light, lovely scent too. Right now, the lilacs are overpowering everything else, and it’s grand! We’re surrounded by huge lilac trees, we have three on property, and the neighbours on each side have a total 11 of them. It’s one of my fave times of year, when the air itself is perfumed.

It’s beautiful, and something about the lighting makes it a bit mysterious.

Oh my goodness, yes. The lilacs have just started blooming in my neighborhood, and it’s so nice to come back after a long day at work. I also love it when the lilacs are still in bloom on my birthday, which doesn’t happen often.

That would make the day extra special! Lilacs turn everything tranquil and magical.

The lilacs here have been having sex for over a week now, and I love it. Mixed in, of course, with all the fruit trees (the babby apple trees in the yard were delicately gorgeous this year, and the cherry outdid itself magnificently). Even in the city, you walk down the street, and all you smell is sweetness, it’s been quite amazing! Waiting for the jasmine to explode, to keep the scent going (it’s the lime-trees after that).
Hope it lasts a pretty while for you, too.
