I love the red tips on the Hawkweed! Beautiful, shiny beetle, too.
Your photo really highlights how iridescent that bug is. It almost looks as if he is gold plated. And I love how you’ve also drawn my eye to the small red edges of the flower. And the photo feels so warm…like sunshine in the summer. I love this photo.
The beetle is as if it’s covered with little jewels and the red tips are like little cartoon claws.
The picture is full of the magic of summer, already in May.
Thank you! Yes, that beetle is amazing. I wish I knew its ID. I’ve photographed it before on a chicory flower and it looks just as shiny in a blue setting.
Ice Swimmer, I should clarify that this photo was not taken in May! It was taken last year, June 11. Still not summer, but closer to it. :)
