I like the colour of the red trillium. The similarities and the differences do a lot in this picture.
I wish trilliums were more common around here (central Massachusetts). They exist, but as far as I can tell they are pretty uncommon. A neighbor of mine found one growing unplanted in her garden and kept it partly because it looks nice and partly because there aren’t many around.
Brilliant shot, voyager! Really shows how special and exquisite red trilliums are, it stands out for its beauty.
Oddly its the red ones that are common around here, not the white ones.
