The Daily Bird #672.

Caine seems to be stuck at the hospital, lets hope it is not serious.

So I am posting today’s bird instead. A lovely lady chaffinch.

What a little beauty. Thanks, Charly. I’m home, but not well. Might be better tomorrow, might not. I’ll do my best.

My warm thoughts, Caine. May the things get better for you!

A fine portrait of respectable looking lady.

Hope you feel better soon, Caine. If you need some time off just take it, don’t even worry about anything. Just take care of yourself, okay?

That’s a beautiful shot, Charly, a fine looking bird. That green tint initially made me think it was a female greenfinch, but looking at the wing feathers’ pattern more closely… actually left me even more confused! I think maybe local differences in plumage are tricking my brain. Indeed there is no reason for your chaffinches to look exactly like the ones occurring here in the Iberian Peninsula.

I hope tomorrow is a better day, Caine.
Charly, that is a gorgeous photograph. The colours are so delicate.

Thank you all, I think I’m back in the land of the living today, finally got some sleep. I’ll write a post a little bit later, after tea.
