Oh, such amazing photography, glimpses of all the worlds within our world! I had to bookmark, because I have too much to do today and I have to be good and asleep early (5:30am wake up), but I’ll work my way through eventually. Have a wander and see wonders!

This was via Atlas Obscura, which highlighted twelve landscapes, including the one above.

I hate* it when photography awards season arrives, because suddenly I have to spend so much time looking at amazing photos, I barely have time for anything else.

From that link, my favourite for colour: the first (the pink! the silk!); my favourite for mysterious landscape: the mountain from Slovenia (dunno, there’s a bit of menace, a bit of protectiveness, something subtle and odd); my favourite for sheer power of nature: the wave and the lighthouse (I’m just a sucker for the subject matter); favourite for texture: the Antarctic ice. The Belgian surrealism is nicely out of place (and I like how the colouring in that picture is perfectly ordinary, there’s no special effects or attempt at highlighting, things just are), but the airplanes are a bit freaky. They feel too close. :D
I’ll have to look at the full site when I’m at home. Work computer insists that it is ‘Entertainment’. Well, I can’t say it’s wrong…

    * Just kidding, I love it!
