Lovely bird and a great capture. The only jays I see around here are the big showy blue jays that frighten away all the little birds.

Our jays are mighty shy, never coming close to the house.
Our jays will come fairly close, but they usually scream like a hawk first, to scare us into thinking they are a hawk.
Don’t tell them, but it doesn’t work. :-D
