Very nice. I recommend reading Funny in Farsi by Firoozeh Dumas. Her family moved to the U.S. in the ’70’s and, boy howdy, did they get some goofy questions.
Oh, I’ll bet! Thanks for the recommend. I did laugh when I got to the bit in the video about “do you have apples in Iran?” It’s rather scary, how insular most people are, and don’t know much beyond their own borders, or even all that much in them. I think too many Americans never stop to think about just how much learning immigrants do, or appreciate it.
