I don’t like this one. It bothers me on some level, but I haven’t figured it out yet. I’m busy trying not to have a stroke over the new neighbour’s fucking stupidity and rework my mood to paint. I did work some black and mica into the Simurgh’s head. :D

She does indeed look like she drunk a tea from poppies.
The candlesticks on the left seem to be drunk.
The face in the picture is decidedly two-dimensional, reminiscent of Orthodox icons.
She looks hypnotized, under the influence of some mind-controlling drug -- expressionless like the Mona Lisa but with more vacancy.
