I just love it. It’s very intense and to be honest the way I read the word ‘tainted’ these days (esp. due to the way it’s been applied by the religious to women of independence), I find a great deal of joy in this painting. ‘Tainted? Sure. HA!’
Hadn’t seen Cold Heart previously, but that has a similar reaction from me (for similar reasons, see cold as synonym to frigid, etc.) -- I’m finding a lot of joy and resilience in these, a background of ‘fuck you, I’m me so deal with it’ to the world.
Then again it is Monday morning and I could be misinterpreting everything.
