    I remember what it’s called here: svilpis! Which shares an etymological root with the word for whistling, apparently a reference to its singing (whistling?) ability. A rare sight, here, too, for me, though it isn’t a particularly rare bird -- beautiful shots, Charly!

    Along with tits, sparrows and waxwings, the “essential” winter birds here. Not as urban as tits and sparrows, though.
