    Here’s hoping for a retrospective world-touring exhibition for Olavi Lanu.

    I grew up in Lahti and me and my mom went to see Lanu’s exhibition in the local art museum (about 1985) when I was about 10-11. The artist himself held a lecture there, telling about his life and (mostly) about his art. He seemed like a nice person and was a good speaker (perhaps connected to the fact that he was a teacher).

    I really should go and see his works in Lahti. It’s just an hour by train from Helsinki.

    Oh my goodness, the movement of Hitosuyama’s wolf is breathtaking! I can almost see its coat ruffling against the cold.
