    This photo was taken in June. The place was a relatively narrow stretch of grass, bushes and trees between the main pedestrian/bicycle path of the park and the sea, so there were many people passing by.

    I’m not sure if the goose whose head is low was issuing threats (to another goose on the other side, a dog or humans) or just in the process of sitting down. The goose to its left had its head down in a another photo taken within the same minute. At least when barnacle geese quarrel, the have their head low and make noises that sound like cursing. The family photo (Daily Bird # 155) I also took during the same minute.

    Barnacle goose is valkoposkihanhi in Finnish (white cheek goose).
