    Closest thing you’ll get to an actual snowdrift down there, Lofty! :) Pretty.
    Just to clarify, is this the same one that was green before and has “ripened”? Or a different bush altogether?

    rq, exactly the same tree. Ain’t nature grand? After a while, there will be a snowdrift of falling petals. Unlike the occasional “snowdrifts” of small hail that fall on these parts and make the roads skating rinks for an hour or two. Mt Lofty summit proper gets snow deep enough to make little snowpeople, every once in a few years.
