Amazing Portraiture.

All the portraits are of sheep and goats, and they are wonderful! You can see the rest here.

Truly expressive! Makes you wonder what they are thinking. (I know that is projecting humanity onto them.)

I really liked Sydney, who looked very wise, and Stanwood, who looked mischievous. Like I said above though, just my projecting human thoughts onto them.

Oh, they are all wonderful. I’ll admit to liking Jake the most because of his old age “all the grass is mine!” attitude. :D

A friend of mine is really good with portrait lighting and I always thought I’d like to learn, but didn’t liked the idea of taking pictures of people. Never thought about trying goats… I’ll do some testing in Goat Simulator first.

This is all standard 2-light hollywood glamour stuff. The photographer should have some gobos on the background, but I’m biassed.
I also was looking at those and thinking it’d be great if the goats were sporting modern stuff. Picture one of those goats with an elizabethan ruff. Or sunglasses. Or a ball hat. Or pearls.

Most humans who I’ve seen with beards like that tend to wear black.

The portrait of Bennett is most like a portrait of a dignitary. Many others are glamour pictures, Xenia going the furthest in that direction. Luigi’s picture resembles a modern election poster.

    Great photos.
