Ailes Helped Women! He Did!

In transcripts released ahead of his Sunday appearance on NBC’s Meet the Press, Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump stood by former Fox News CEO Roger Ailes, who stepped down on Thursday amid allegations of sexual harassment.

Toronto Star correspondent Daniel Dale published the transcripts on his Twitter feed Saturday evening.

Meet the Press host Chuck Dodd asked Trump about the allegations against Ailes, and the candidate replied, “Well I don’t want to comment. But he’s been a friend of mine for a really long time. And I can tell you that some of the women who are complaining, I know how much he’s helped them. And even recently. And when they write books that are fairly recently released, and they say wonderful things about him.”

He went on, “And now all of a sudden they’re saying these horrible things about him. It’s very sad. Because he’s a very good person. I’ve always found him to be just a very, very good person. Any by the way a very, very talented person. Look what he’s done. So I feel very badly. But a lot of people are thinking he’s going to run my campaign.”

Well, I’m not surprised. I’m sure Donald will say how much he helped the women accusing him of sexual assault. It’s interesting, isn’t it, how little attention that story is getting from the media.

The fear of a Trump win is growing within me, so I hope he keeps shitting on the largest voting block in the nation. But yeah, the media reliably gives him millions of dollars of coverage every time he farts on twitter, why ignore this?

I understand why the media do that during a Trump campaign for the ratings, but do those same outlets want a Trump presidency because of the potential ratings?

I don’t know, but it sure as hell looks that way. At Pharyngula, PZ noted that the media simply will not report on the alt far right, because they are treating it like the default, which is scary enough on its own. (That was about the shooter in Germany, who had a worship of mass shooters going, and was major fan of Breivik). It seems no one wants to report on the dangers of the alt far right. PZ also posted about how Trump is very much in bed with Putin, and no one seems to much give a shit about that, either.

As for ratings, fuck, does scandal no longer bring in numbers?

That is what I took from that also. He never seems to want to comment but does anyway. Or he proceeds to JAQ off. I will never understand how anyone can vote for this idiot. He is the grade-school bully that everyone hated, and he has never grown up.

I wouldn’t trust Trump’s opinion on who counts as a very, very good person. Apalling that nobody’s questioning this.

Of course Ailes helps cootie-carriers! He knows wimmin are property, just like children, n——, politicians, furriners, and anyone else whose income is less than several billion per month or who he decides disagrees with him. Unowned property is theft — mostly from him — and so is not helpful. Or useful. Or to be tolerated. Therefore, it follows, restoring the correct and natural “order”, of, e.g., cootie-carriers doing as Teh Master says, is helpful.
Q.E.D.(a “science of logic” technical term meaning “proven by thug’s assertations”).

(Multiple years ago there was an article in, I think, The Grauniad, basically pointing that Ailes actually seems to believe most-or-all of the paranoid nonsense disseminated by faux(this includes birtherism, AGW-denial, and on and on and on). Last time I searched for that article I wasn’t able to find it (which perhaps only means my Generalissimo Google™-fu was fued…))
