Kengiiiiiiii, these are beautiful! You’ve really captured Essence of Heron. Beautiful birds, I love their grace and the wispiness of their decorative feathers.
(I did do a double take at the submerged tree-bit in the first photo, haha, thought it was something alive! Instead, someone’s lost a wrench!)

Thanks. It was lucky I brought the camera with me when dad and I went to lunch despite the steady rain. The rain, of course, steadily blew into the car window as I tried to lean back far enough to keep the camera dry. That pond often has a long-legged bird grabbing a meal, particularly when I don’t have my camera. (Not sure how they know…)

I didn’t even notice the “floating wrench” until after I reviewed the photos when I got home. I did a double-take as well.

I remember hanging around by the Bremerton Ferry in Seattle and saw 3 Great Blues all within about 50 yards of each other. Didn’t have a camera at the time, but it’s the only time I’ve ever seen more than one.

Great pics of one of my favorite birds!
