    When my mother lived in inland Washington, there were crab spiders in her garden -- sort of scrunched-up looking things, in colors that generally matched the inside of the flower where that spider was hiding: pale yellow, pink, pale green. They were quite lovely.

    I don’t know what these flowers are. I know I have stacks of them in the garden. I do know this was another accidental capture, I was trying to focus on this, the camera said “no, flowers!” and it was only later that I saw the curled up little legs holding the spider to the underside of the leaf. :D
