Guess who just got engaged?

An engagement ring

For those of you who don’t know, my partner Heather and I have been together for almost two years now. It’s been a long and amazing and awesome journey so far, and last night, she decided to pop the question! It was just about the sweetest thing ever, and we agreed to upgrade from partners to fiancées. Seriously, I’m a fiancée. Wow. Obviously we’re both really excited, and we’ll keep you all updated on any new developments.

Also, YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY!

    Congratulations!

Now all we have to do is kick enough butts in Tallahassee that y’all can take this to the next step without having to cross multiple state lines…

  2. Eristae says

Yay! Congratulations! I throw internet flower petals at you in celebration.

But now comes the really important question: what kind of cake will you have?!

    Yum, cake . . .

  3. Karen Locke says

Congratulations! I recommend a wedding with a cat in attendance (one wandered into the church during my wedding). Husband and I have had 33 good years together, still going strong, and I’m just a little superstitious that the cat blessed the marriage. :)

Congrats! So happy for you. Of the same mind as Eristae (#10), I probably won’t be in attendance, so I’ll just bake a cake and eat it myself.

Many congratulations. If SCOTUS suffers a sudden attack of sanity, may your Florida wedding be sunny and bright. Otherwise, it’s nice here in California too. (I’m thinking optimistically but not over the top.)

Could have sworn I commented on this to congratulate you, but apparently not :-p

Anyway, congratulations. Couples who are excited about getting engaged are most adorable. :-)
