Climate change deniers still at it

rest assured, the usual suspects will have no problem denying the link between more intense storms and climate change. We’ll be discussing this very issue Sunday morning here at FTB and on Daily Kos with paleoclimatologist Micheal Mann. I’ll also be fielding questions at that time via Twitter using the hashtag #AskTheMann. In the meantime, the holidays are upon us by my personal calender — Nov 15 is close enough!

Looking forward to the Michael Mann interview, hope your computer issues are solved soon – I can certainly relate to that situation!

The footage of the Phillipines aftermath is staggering, looks like the aftermath of the Boxing day Tsunami or even Hiroshima after the first A-bomb fell.

    What more will it take?

Incidentally, there’s an interesting comparison here :

of Haiyan versus some other notable huge storms over the past decade or so.

^ NB. The graphic there is wrong on one detail though – the death toll from Haiyan is now at about 4,500 or so and still rising from what I’ve heard so far.
