Republicans know who to blame the Katrina response on

Take a wild guess who Republicans in Louisiana blame more than President Bush for the government response after Katrina in 2005. Hint, it rhymes with Osama:

TPM — Twenty-eight percent said they think former President George W. Bush, who was in office at the time, was more responsible for the poor federal response while 29 percent said Obama, who was still a freshman U.S. Senator when the storm battered the Gulf Coast in 2005, was more responsible. Nearly half of Louisiana Republicans — 44 percent — said they aren’t sure who to blame.

Hurricane, Katrina you say? Never heard of it …

There comes a point when you realize conservatives are just saying anything they can think of to make liberals laugh at them. Which is certainly one way of getting noticed, it’s just not a very good way to be taken seriously. But I’m not sure if they can make that distinction anymore.

Then again, maybe it’s a just a GOP/LA centric race thing:

The latest survey from Democratic-leaning Public Policy Polling, provided exclusively to TPM, showed (Governor) Jindal with an approval rating of only 28 percent. Fifty-nine percent of Louisiana voters said they disapprove of the job he is doing. According to PPP, those numbers make Jindal the least popular Republican governor in the country.

I am surprised that they didn’t blame the communists. Oh wait, Obama is a communist, isn’t he?

Who did you think Louisiana Republicans would blame for that disgraceful failure — themselves? The people they voted for?

At least Bobby Jindahl admitted that Obama was doing more for his state than Bush Jr. did. I’m sure those remarks are being scrubbed from the public record…

This is almost unbelievable, isn’t it? Almost everything that I’ve read today has made me feel despair for this country. Ignorance is becoming the norm almost everywhere in the US.

The republicans “think” Obama was responsible?

No doubt they also believe their chocolate rations just went up from 25 grams to 15 grams.

Can’t say I’m surprised, after all, around the time of the last election there was a poll by PPP that showed 15% of Ohio republicans thought Romney more responsible for getting Osama Bin Laden than Obama was.

Hey, this is evidence of forward thinking by the Republicans. In 2005, they were busy blaming Clinton…now they blame Obama.

I agree with d.c.wilson. They’re not trying to get laughed at…they really believe their masters when they say all the evil in the world is caused not by what they do, but by the evil liberals that are headed by Obama. They really believe that the good economy under Clinton was caused by Reagan / Bush, and the bad economy under Bush II was caused by Clinton…except that the economy was better under Bush because the economy now is much, much, much worse now (somehow).

I’ve had enough arguments with well-educated Republicans to know that they really believe the idiocy, and they really are incapable of putting 2 and 2 together with political matters despite being rather intelligent in their professional lives.
